Getting to Park City: Your Airport Options
So you are heading to Park City. Smart choice – whether it is the skiing, Sundance, or just escaping to the mountains, it is a pretty special spot. But here is the first thing you need to know: Park City does not have its own commercial airport.

Salt Lake City International is Your Best Bet
SLC is about 35 miles west of Park City. Major airport, tons of flights, and you can be in Park City within an hour of landing. I have flown into Salt Lake dozens of times for ski trips. The airport is genuinely good.

Getting From SLC to Park City
Rent a car: Most popular option. Gives you freedom to explore. Fair warning: if there is fresh snow, you will want AWD or 4WD.
Shuttle services: Canyon Transport, Park City Transportation run regular shuttles. Book ahead during ski season.
Uber/Lyft: Works fine. Expect $60-100 depending on demand.
Public transit: UTA runs buses if you are on a tight budget. Gets you there for like $5.
The Drive Itself
In good conditions? 45 minutes, easy. Scenic as hell through Parleys Canyon. But storms happen. Check UDOT road conditions before you leave the airport.
Other Airports
Provo Municipal is about 80 miles south with very limited service. Ogden-Hinckley is 75 miles north. For 99 percent of travelers, SLC is the answer.
Book accommodations early if you are going during Sundance or peak ski weeks. Park City fills up. And when you get there – have fun.
